Sources we use

• Tithis, festivals and timings: our own astronomical calculation, cross-checked against government holiday lists and widely used Marathi panchangs.
• Holidays: Government of Maharashtra notifications.
• Festival guides: general, widely known customs, written by us.

Labelling

We mark information as official when it comes from a notification, calculated when we derive it, and expected when an official list is awaited. We do not guess moon-sighting dates; they are marked as subject to change.

Original writing

All guides are written for this site. We do not copy text from other websites or publications.

Updates

The Maharashtra holiday list is usually notified in November or December. We update the relevant pages after it is released and add each new year well before it begins.

Corrections

Write to [email protected]. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly, and the page's "last updated" date is changed.
