Holidays

Holidays come from government notifications, which can be revised. District collectors may declare local holidays, and dates of Muslim festivals depend on moon sighting. For leave, travel or legal deadlines, confirm with the official notification.

Dates and timings

Tithis, festivals and timings are calculated for Mumbai as described on how we calculate. Panchangs from other publishers or cities may differ by a day or by a few minutes.

Muhurat

Muhurat pages list days that pass general panchang rules. They are not a personal muhurat and do not consider horoscopes, lagna or family custom. Please consult a qualified priest or astrologer before fixing the date of a wedding, griha pravesh or other ceremony.

Religious content

Festival descriptions give brief, general accounts of widely known customs. They are not religious instruction. For rituals, follow your family tradition and your priest.
