Marathi Calendar (मराठी दिनदर्शिका) is a free reference for the Marathi panchang: daily tithi, festivals, Sankashti, Ekadashi, muhurat and Maharashtra holidays. It is written in English with Marathi alongside, for Marathi families in Maharashtra and around the world and for anyone who needs Marathi dates.

Why we built it

Questions such as "what is today's tithi?", "when is the next Sankashti and what time is moonrise?" or "which day is Gudi Padwa next year?" usually lead to a photo of a wall calendar or a page full of ads. We wanted a fast, clear site that answers them directly, works offline as an app, and explains how each answer was reached.

How dates are produced

Every date is calculated from astronomy for Mumbai and checked against official sources. See how we calculate. Holidays come from Government of Maharashtra notifications.

Respect

Traditions differ between regions, communities and families. Festival guides describe customs respectfully and in general terms, and where practice varies we say so.

Our network

We are not affiliated with the Government of Maharashtra, any temple trust, any panchang publisher or any religious organisation. Official announcements always take precedence.
